I beg to disagree. The brown in the middle used to be in accord with the old background pics, now it contrasts with the new pic, and makes me wish to tear the central portion off, to see what’s behind it. It might have been intended as a message, like “there’s much more behind these stories”, but it somehow makes the textual portion unimportant and in the way – and the stories are what the blog is all about.
Tastes differ, however, maybe it’s just me.
